Gone are the days of endless email threads and misplaced attachments. With SafeSend Gather, you can provide your tax information quickly and securely, giving you more time to focus on what matters most.

How SafeSend Gather Works

SafeSend Gather is designed to simplify the tax preparation process for you. Here’s how it works and how you’ll interact with the platform:

  1. Receive Your Invitation: You will receive an email from Revonary at noreply@safesendreturns.com. To ensure you receive this important communication, add this email to your safe list and check your spam or junk folder if it’s not in your inbox.

  2. Access the Secure Portal: Using the provided link, access the SafeSend Gather portal through a compatible browser. We recommend you use Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on your desktop for the best experience.

  3. Begin the Process:

    • Click the "Let’s Get Started" button to enter the portal.

    • Request and input the access code sent to your email to securely enter the welcome page.

  4. Complete Key Tasks:

    • E-Sign Your Engagement Letter: Review and electronically sign the engagement letter and any other forms requiring your signature.

    • Answer the Questionnaire: Fill out a custom questionnaire tailored to your tax situation.

    • Organize Your Tax Information: Complete your tax organizer.

    • Upload Your Documents: Use the provided checklist to upload all required source documents. The system automatically categorizes and validates your uploads, with green check marks indicating completion.

  5. Progress Through the Steps: As you complete each task, click "Finish" to move on to the next stage of the process. You’ll always know what’s left to do.

  6. Submit for Review: Once all required tasks are completed and documents uploaded, mark the process as "Finished" to notify your Revonary tax professional that your submission is ready for preparation.

Important Dates to Keep in Mind

To ensure a smooth tax season, it’s crucial to stay aware of upcoming deadlines. Here are some key dates Revonary clients should keep in mind:

  • January 31: The deadline by which you should receive most tax documents, such as W-2s and 1099s. Be prepared to upload these as soon as you have all of your documents together.

  • March 23: Deadline to submit a complete package of your tax documents to Revonary through SafeSend Gather in order for your tax return to be filed by April 15.

Timely submission is key to avoiding penalties and ensuring a smooth process. If a completed package of your tax documents is not received by March 23, 2025, we cannot guarantee we will be able to file your tax return by April 15, 2025, and an extension will be filed.

How secure is SafeSend Gather?

What documents do I need to upload?

Commonly requested documents include W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and other income and expense records. Revonary will provide a personalized checklist tailored to your tax situation.

How do I get started with SafeSend Gather?

Revonary will send you an invitation to access the SafeSend Gather platform. Simply click the link, follow the instructions, and begin uploading your documents. The email will come from noreply@safesendreturns.com – make sure you add this email address to your safe sender list. If you don't see the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. 

What if I don’t have all my tax documents ready at the same time?

No problem! You can upload documents to SafeSend Gather as they become available. The platform allows you to save your progress and return when you’re ready. We just ask that you hold off on submitting everything to us until you've uploaded all of your tax information.

Can I still receive a paper organizer?

If you prefer to work with a paper organizer, we can provide one upon request.
